
Professional Eye Care Service
Free of Charge
The Adult Eye Care Program works in conjunction with local optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide eye exams and glasses for low-income adults. The eye care professionals provide all of their services free of charge.
In order to qualify for a prescription and eye glasses a person must:
- Be employed (cannot earn more than $2,000/month per household)
- Receive Social Security/veterans benefits
- Be a full time student
- Have proof of residency (provide a current rental agreement or a utility bill with name and address)
Individuals seeking assistance from the Adult Eye Care program may fill out an application at our office located at 1900 N Spring Street. Once approved, an appointment is made for an eye exam with one of our participating doctors.
