Salt & Pepper Luncheon 2023

25 years ago, one of our volunteers was delivering food to a homebound client of Catholic Charities’ Hunger Project when she discovered the recipe for Salt and Pepper Soup. It consisted of hot water with salt and pepper. What she really discovered was this was all the client had in the home to eat. That’s when the Salt and Pepper luncheon was born.

This year, our keynote speaker is Brady Clark, the co-founder and executive director of Square Mile Community Development.

Amarillo native Brady Clark is a husband, father, consultant, pastor, and social entrepreneur. He has nearly 25 years of experience in working with multicultural, underserved, high-risk individuals and communities both internationally and here in the U.S. Brady has directed both faith-based and secular nonprofit organizations working toward community and individual transformation, empowerment, and strength-based development. He has taught and spoken to thousands around the world on family reconciliation, poverty, social justice, cross-cultural communication, spiritual transformation, and the role of theology in current affairs. As the co-founder and Executive Director of Square Mile Community Development, he brings together nonprofits, individuals, faith-based groups, and businesses to create individualized models of long-term community transformation.
