Title: Program Coordinator for Education

Department: Education

My passion for serving the refugee and immigrant population through education is what brought me to Amarillo. Originally from a farm in upstate New York, a bite from the travel bug, and my interest in different cultures, led me to live in Thailand for four and a half years, and several other places in Asia and East Africa. As the ESL and Citizenship Coordinator I am daily submerged into the beautiful melting pot that exists in Amarillo. I recently finished my Master’s degree in Global Development and Justice which I have been able to practically apply through growing and developing our adult education programs at CCTXP. In my free time I love to learn languages, as well as keeping myself up to date on global issues, and brainstorming solutions. I also like to find the best hole in the wall place serving exotic cuisine that Amarillo has to offer, sipping on single origin coffee and drinking craft beer at Sod Poodle baseball games!
